ALAN Low is thinks new coach Stuart Roberts can bring a fresh voice to the Royal Wootton Bassett set-up having joined the Ballard’s Ash club.

The role is Roberts’ first in a coaching capacity but he brings a lot of playing experience with a career taking in Gloucester, Plymouth Albion and Bracknell. Low also thinks Roberts’ day job as a PE teacher also will make him a good fit in the coaching team at Bassett.

Low told the Advertiser: “Stuart’s got broad knowledge of the game, lots of experience he can draw back on. He’s someone I grew up playing with, I have a good knowledge of Stuart and he how he works, and his tactical and technical areas are very strong.

“He’ll come in and join the group of existing coaches, and he’ll be able bring things on and as a young coach as well that will help with relating to the players.

“He’s a new voice to keep things fresh that is really good thing. He’s been down and seen the club and knows the five year plan, and thought the set up was fantastic.”
