SUPERMARINE Ladies fought hard but found it tough against Bath Ladies losing 15-38.
Marine made a very promising start, scoring in the first five minutes through number eight Sam Watts. Unfortunately the early lead was soon wiped out with Bath scoring wide three minutes later. Bath then took the ascension, running in two more tries.
A fantastic effort by the forwards resulted in a try by Theresa Bickell to keep Supermarine in the game but due to some very quick hands, Bath were able to add another converted try before half-time.
The second half was more closely fought, but Supermarine were still out scored two tries to one. The hosts’s score coming after excellent team effort resulted in a try from Claire Chard.
