SUPERMARINE go into this weekend’s tie with nothing to lose as they face high flying Sherborne.

Sean Millwaters’ side have had a tough start to life in the Southern Counties South division after promotion last season, suffering defeats to North Dorset and Corsham.

However, things do not get any easier for Millwaters’ men this weekend as they head to Dorset to play a side who have won both their opening ties.

Supermarine also go into the match missing front row Richard White and second row John Mason from their starting line up.

The Supermarine chief knows the size of the challenge that awaits his team but hopes that, on the day, his side could cause an upset.

“It is an interesting one because we’re going there with nothing to lose We’re not expecting to win,” said Millwaters, who has tipped his opponents to be fighting for the league title this season.

“They are flying at the top of the league whereas we are still in search of a win, although we have got points on the board.

“If we win it’s totally unexpected. They are a team I expect to be competing for the league come the end of the season.

“We know it is going to be a very tough game, so we have just got to play our game and just keep building through our season.

“We have got to go at this game from the first minute - we can’t give their side an easy lead. We’ve got to go there all guns blazing.

“We are tweaking our game plan slightly for the match. We know how Sherborne like to play and have been reading the match reports to see where their scoring comes from, so we have slightly changed our plan to make things difficult for them.

“We go there with nothing to lose and you know rugby - anything can happen.”
