ROYAL Wootton Bassett head coach Alan Low was pleased to come away from a trip to top of the league Stow-on-the-Wold with a losing bonus point on Saturday.
Low watched his side dominate large periods of the game against a side who had not dropped a point at home, but his side made some small errors to go down 15-8.
Gavin Ougan scored the only try of the game for the visitors but Low said there was plenty to take from away from the match.
“I think we’re the only side to come out of there with any points at all,” said Low.
“It was a reasonable performance for us, we went away from home and fronted them up.
“It was just a few little errors in key areas of the pitch that cost us on the day.”
