Supermarine Ladies faced Wimbledon Ladies in their Women’s Championship South West Two at home on Sunday but were unable to find the form they had shown against Rosslyn Park the previous week.

The first half was a fairly even affair as Wimbledon scored first, utilising their back line in a well-worked pass and loop move.

However, they were unable to convert and Supermarine quickly closed the gap with an opportunist try from Harriet Marshall after a tapped penalty.

Natalie Williams converted and Supermarine briefly led the game 7-5.

However, lacklustre rucking from Supermarine prevented any ball retention and Wimbledon were allowed to dictate the game, resulting in another try.

The second half showed no improvement from Marine and the quick offfloading from the Wimbledon backs, along with poor tackling, added two more tries to Wimbledon's tally.

The final score was 22-10 to Wimbledon in what was ultimately another poor performance from Supermarine Ladies.

Forward of the match went to Emerald Fisk with back of the match being Lianne Bartleman.

n MARINE Ladies are holding a Christmas quiz, at Supermarine RFC on Friday (December 5) at 7.30pm.
