CONNAL Knott is hoping the return of four key players from injury will help get Swindon back to winnings way in South West 1 East.

The Greenridge Road scrum-half is one of the quartet that will be available to head coach Sean Lynn again when they entertain second-placed Towcestrians.

Along with Knott, back rowers Tom Mannion and Mike Thompson as well as lock Dave Cox are all available again following injury.

And with Swindon losing their previous two matches, the latest being the 15-5 defeat at Witney last weekend, a second win of the campaign over Towcestrians will be exceedingly welcome.

“It would be nice,” Knott said of completing the double over tomorrow’s visitors.

“They are a physical side but it will be interesting to see what difference having four key players back makes.

“We normally have our bad run straight after Christmas, but we won the first two.

“Then we have lost our last two games and by all accounts we went close in both matches - just a wrong decision here and a knock-on there.

“Against Witney last weekend I was told we played quite well.”

Despite the quartet of Knott, Cox, Thompson and Mannion all being back in the mix and the desire to get their season back on track, the scrum-half says that Swindon’s training has just been the same.

“We prepare for matches the same as we always do,” he said.

“We work hard and not worry too much about what has happened in the past.”
