ROYAL Wootton Bassett director of rugby Alan Low insists that there will not be any extra pressure put on his players tomorrow as they look to secure their 10th win in a row.

The Ballards Ash side welcome Stow-on-the-Wold in Southern Counties North having won their previous nine matches.

And that run has propelled Bassett up to third in the table, just one point behind Aylesbury in second.

“I’m known at the club for being a bit of grump,” Low joked. “Because I concentrate on the next game.

“And it will be the same again from me on Saturday too.

“If you start looking too far into the future then you can take your eye off the ball and that is when you can lose and all that form goes out the window.

“Yes, we are on a good run and a few of the boys are talking about it but we have to stay focused.”

After last Saturday’s 40-10 success at Thatcham with a much changed side, Low will have tighthead Gary Williamson available again as he has recovered from a stress fracture to his foot.

However, Low insists that the influential prop won’t waltz straight back into the side.

“Reuben Brown was absolutely superb last weekend so Gary is going to have to work hard to get back in,” Low said.

“We played Stow earlier in the season and it was one of those games that got away from us, so it is a game that we know is going to be tough.”
