SWINDON head coach Sean Lynn wants his side to maintain their winning momentum to take into next weekend’s derby clash with champions-elect Chippenham.

The Greenbridge Road side entertain struggling Buckingham tomorrow as they look to make it three wins in a row.

And Swindon chief Lynn is hoping that having last weekend off will help freshen up his side for one final push this term.

With only four games of the campaign remaining ahead of the visit from Buckingham, Lynn is pleased with how his side are shaping up.

Influential skipper and fly-half Adam Westall is back to full fitness following an injury to his ear, while scrum-half Connal Knott is also firing after injury.

“We had a great session on Tuesday night,” Lynn said. “Everyone is looking good after a little break and we are looking to build on our momentum.

“We’ve had two good results against Windsor and Bletchley; we need to keep that momentum this weekend against Buckingham so that we can take it into the Chippenham game.

“I think derby games are important. It is about the bragging rights.

“Chippenham have all but won the league so it will be nice for the boys to go there on the back of a good run.”

Swindon’s results in 2015 have been quite erratic, with a run of four defeats followed by two wins.

That run has left them sitting in fourth place in the table, with them one point above Witney and trailing third-placed Windsor by 14.

Meanwhile, Swindon College Old Boys will be aiming to bounce back from their Senior Vase defeat to Withycombe when they head to Wheatley.

Mark Lea’s side were hoping to book a day out at Twickenham but they found the Devon men too strong as they were 41-20 winners.

And with the title in Berks/Bucks and Oxon Premier now just a long shot, SCOB will be keen to ensure that their season doesn’t peter out.

Supermarine will be hoping it is 20th time lucky in Southern Counties South when they make the trip across the county to face Frome.
