HEAD coach Sean Lynn has set his sights on a third win on the spin as Swindon prepare to travel to Reading Abbey this weekend.

Swindon made it back-to-back successes in South West One East for the first time this season when they beat Reading at home last weekend and Lynn does not want his side to let their good form slip now.

Abbey have adapted well to life at a higher level following last season’s title triumph in Southern Counties South with three wins from seven games this term but Lynn thinks Swindon should have no reason to feel overawed.

“The boys were very pleased with the momentum they built up in the Grove game a few weeks ago and we’ve just carried on from there,” said Lynn.

“Hopefully we can go to Reading Abbey and get our third win on the bounce. We are looking forward to it.

“I’m sure it will be a good match between two even teams. We are expecting a tough game over there; even though they’ve only just come up, they’ve settled down quite well.

“Everyone seems to be able to beat everyone at the moment so it’s a really nice competitive league but we’re playing well and hopefully we can go there and get another win under our belts.”

Royal Wootton Bassett are also looking to maintain their own winning sequence and can stretch it to seven in a row when they host Witney on Saturday.

Alan Low’s men are second in the table and head into the game on the back of a 32-3 thrashing of Reading Abbey last time out, although the head coach says there is still room for improvement.

Low said: “It’s nice to be back at home so hopefully we can get another win at Ballard’s Ash but we are expecting another tough game.

“The last game was a really good performance but there are definitely areas that we still need to work on. Every week we need to try to take something out of the game and make small improvements.”
