SWINDON College Old Boys must put any thoughts of Twickenham behind tomorrow as they continue they charge in Berk, Bucks and Oxon Premier.

The unbeaten Pipers Way outfit lifted the Dorset and Wilts Senior Vase last weekend when defeating Dorset and Wilts One South high-flyers Weymouth and Portland 20-12 at Warminster’s Folly Lane.

And while Martin Lloyd’s men are now just three matches away from running out at HQ, they must keep their focus if they are to make an immediate return to the Southern Counties division.

College are currently leading the way with eight wins from eight in the league and have only failed to pick up maximum points on one occasion.

In their last outing in Berks, Bucks and Oxon Premier then ran-in 102 points as they put second-from-bottom Phoenix to the sword.

While Lloyd admits that tomorrow’s trip to bottom-of-the-table Risborough may be an opportunity to fringe players to get their chance, they will be looking for another five points.

“We picked up one or two minor niggles (against Weymouth) and it is a long old trip to Risborough so you just don’t know who will is going to be available,” Lloyd said.

“But the one thing at the moment is everyone wants to be involved in the cup run so that means they won’t want to give up that shirt.

“Terry Gibbs came up from the twos three weeks ago and he has made that place in the second row his own.”

Meanwhile, Supermarine welcome Pewsey Vale to South Marston in Dorset and Wilts One North.
