TAG RUGBY: Nationwide caught by the Police

WILTSHIRE Police defeated current Festival of Swindon champions Nationwide to cause a big shock in the Mixed Tag Rugby League.

Police also drew with Add a Logo played in a game played in good spirit.

Wild Rockets were in control of their match at half time but npower took advantage of Rockets’ second half mistakes and came back strongly to win.

Rockets reorganised for the second game and with good performances throughout the team, beat the BaaBaas by 10-9.

A draw and a win has secured Add a Logo a top half finish this season. This was contributed to by new signing Matt Henderson, who scored with his first touch of the ball. Having never played before, Matt got three tries in the evening, whereas old stager and captain Andy Sear got his first try of the season, having played every week.

The npower team played well to come back from a three-try deficit at half time against Wild Rockets with good performances from the entire team.

Unfortunately this turned into a power cut towards the end of the evening, with the majority of the team also playing for BaaBaa’s, after they had helped npower last week.

This left a very tired team who couldn’t pull it together and lost 13-6 to Add a Logo.
