RUGBY LEAGUE: Rhinos offer training help

SUPER League champions Leeds Rhinos will be sending members of their on and off field team to support Swindon St George before Sunday’s final pre-season game against Gloucestershire Warriors.

The Rhinos, who have won the Super League Grand Final for the last three years, will be represented at the Cheltenham 9s tournament on Saturday, April 24.

Leeds are rumoured to be setting up a partnership with South West Rugby League, which covers clubs from Swindon to Plymouth. The Rhinos are expected to announce more details at the Cheltenham 9s.

The Headingley side have agreed to attend St George’s game on Sunday to give a training session and tips before the match.

Swindon coach Neil Greenwood said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for our team to benefit from the experience of professional rugby league players.”

The match will be played at Swindon RFC, Greenbridge Road at 2.30pm. All are welcome to attend, entrance is free.
