SWINDON are planning a special night of racing to round off their eventful 2014 season next month.

The Bob Kilby Memorial meeting on Thursday, October 23, will bring the curtain down on the campaign, the team event taking place under the old-fashioned race format.

Swindon will face a Bob Kilby Select side over 13 heats followed by a series of second half races and a Grand Final to decide the rider of the night.

The Bob Kilby side will be managed by Lee Kilby, the son of Bob.

Robins boss Alun Rossiter said: “This will be a great way to end the season at Swindon and we are delighted to be staging the Bob Kilby meeting.

“The old 13-heat race format is still held in high regard by many supporters – remember the old saying, ‘Happiness is 40-38’!

“I’m sure we will see a good night of racing and a competitive battle for the rider of the night award afterwards. I’m looking forward to it.”
