WITH the Robins pushing for a place in the Elite League Grand Final, it’s time for you to vote for your Rider of the Year – with a 2015 Swindon Robins season ticket up for grabs for one lucky voter.
Peter Kildemand has won the Swindon Advertiser award for the last two seasons and the Danish ace is sure to be in the running for the hat-trick of titles in this year’s poll.
Another superb season at the Abbey Stadium has seen the Robins roar into the Elite Legaue play-offs with a stunning late surge – with tonight’s second leg of their semi final against Coventry Bees to decide whether they will head to next week’s Grand Final to try and reclaim the title they won in 2012.
Skipper Troy Batchelor and Nick Morris, second and third in last year’s vote are also contention this time around, while Australian Dakota North has proved a real Blunsdon favourite since his arrival.
Swedish rider Simon Gustafsson has also proved a key member of the Swindon line-up with reserves Steve Worrall and Nathan Greaves also excelling throughout the summer.
Voting lines open today and close at midnight on October 22, with the winner set to be announced before the end of the month.
One lucky voter will be picked at random following the closing date to win a Robins season ticket for the 2015 campaign.
