SWINDON Robins' boss Alun Rossiter has declared himself satisfied with the outcome of the Elite Riders Draft after Charles Wright and Lewis Rose were confirmed as his reserves for the 2015 season.

Rossiter picked Wright from the tier one group and Rose from the tier two set of riders at the draft in Coventry this lunchtime.

The Robins chief admitted he was a lot more comfortable with the outcome of this year's draft, even though many of his original ideas had to be shelved when the process got under way today.

"I'm pleased with that. Charles Wright had a good year last year. He's a racer and I like what he stands for,'' said Rossiter.

"With the second option, firstly I didn't know which way to go but Lewis Rose will do a good job when he comes in.

"I'm a lot more comfortable with this year's pick than last year's. The whole thing is a lot fairer and, on behalf of the Swindon club, I'm happy.

Wright, 26, has been riding for the Somerset Rebels in the Premier League for the last couple of years helping them to the title in 2013 and his arrival as reserve at the Abbey Stadium will be his first full season in the Elite League having rode as a guest for Swindon against King's Lynn in July.

Rose, 25, was riding as a reserve for King’s Lynn Stars until suffering a knee injury while racing for Newcastle Diamonds, who he will race for once again in 2015.

Rossiter added of the draft process: "You have all these pre-conceived ideas on what you wanted, but you had to think off the cuff a bit.

"I had ideas about they way it would go and it all changed. But I wasn't alone in that, I think if you asked a few of the other team managers too, they would feel the same way.''

Rossiter will now proceed with the process of putting together the remainder of his 2015 line-up but he added: "It's slow at the moment. I haven't done any details with anyone or anything like that.''
