THE 2015 Elite League fixtures have been released and Swindon Robins will kick off their Elite League campaign against Leicester Lions on Saturday, March 28.
The first league meeting at the Abbey Stadium will be part of a bank holiday double-header with last season’s champions Poole Pirates on Friday, April 3.
In other picks of the season, Swindon will be looking for revenge over the Coventry Bees when they travel to Brandon on Friday, May 8, after losing to them in the play-offs last year.
There is also a week in August where, at the moment, Swindon could face four teams in the space of five days.
Starting with Belle Vue on Monday, August 17, Alun Rossiter’s side are provisionally pencilled in to travel to Poole on the Wednesday before a home meeting with King’s Lynn on Thursday and another away trip to Lakeside on the Friday night.
As announced in December, Swindon have been handed the Ben Fund Bonanza meeting to launch next season on Sunday, March 8, at 4pm and will be the seventh staging of what has become the traditional start to the British season.
The Elite Riders Championship will be hosted at Leicester this year and is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 21.
The re-arranged Bob Kilby Memorial meeting, which was meant to take place at the end of last season but had to be called off after a lack of rider availability, will now take place on Thursday, March 26.
Looking to the end of the season, the first of the play-off slots has been pencilled in for Monday, September 14, with the second leg set to take place a week later on Monday, September 21.
The Grand Final will take place on Monday, September 28 and Wednesday, September 30, weather permitting.
