ADRIAN Miedzinski will return to Swindon Robins this year after being unveiled as their number one rider for 2015.

Miedzinski first joined the Robins back in 2006 and last rode in the Elite League for Poole Pirates in 2012.

Swindon boss Alun Rossiter has now swooped to bring the Polish ace back to the Abbey Stadium and he will complete the Robins’ septet alongside captain Troy Batchelor, Kyle Howarth, Nick Morris, Grzegorz Zengota and reserves Charles Wright and Lewis Rose.

“I am happy to be back,” said 29-year-old Miedzinski.

“I raced here in 2006 and had a good time. Now I am back I want to give good races to the fans, to Rosco and to Swindon.

“Everybody wants to be number one. I will try to be the best but right now I will concentrate on my engines and my body and make sure everything is working good. If that side is OK, then my score will be OK.

“I have big pressure being number one but I always have big pressure in Poland. I want to race good and get many points for the club.

“I think the team will be strong. We must work together to win matches, that is the most important thing.”

Miedzinski’s return may be met with some scepticism by Swindon fans but team manager Rossiter has no doubt he has landed the right man.

He said: “In my opinion, you will see a different Adrian Miedzinski now to what you saw in 2006.

“This rider now is completely different. This rider now has won a GP – that’s how good he is.

“He was just a junior when he first came to England. That was 10 years ago, so imagine how much difference there will be now.

“There will be some tracks where he’s maybe not so good but I think he will adapt to it better now he’s got the experience.”
