NICK Morris has been confirmed for the seventh Ben Fund Bonanza at the Abbey on Sunday, March 8.

Along with the Aussie Robins, young Pole Jakub Jamrog, keen to find a berth in British Speedway, will line up for his country’s quartet alongside the already-named Szymon Wozniak.

Jamrog, 23, has just won the Argentinian Championship and has one or two UK appearances already on his record, having scored eight points in the Berwick staging of the Ricky Ashworth Benefit at the end of 2013.

Morris joins Rory Schlein for the Australian team and Workington’s Rusty Harrison.

Harrison, who has announced that this will be his final season, is excited by the prospect of making his first appearance in the event.

Harrison said: “I realised that Paul might be looking for riders with all the visa problems.

“The Ben Fund meeting has been running for a few years now and I’ve just never had a chance to have a go in it before. To get the opportunity to ride in it before I retire at the end of the season is fantastic.

“We’re thinking of heading home in November or December once we get a visa for my partner.”
