SWINDON Robins number one Adrian Miedzinski says that he could be back in action on May 10.

The Polish international broke three fingers in a fall in the Robins opening meet of the season on Easter Monday that required surgery.

Miedzinski is now looking to return to the track for Torun in their clash with Rzeszow on May 10 back his native Poland.

He told Sportowefakty.pl: “Everything is going in the right direction and at any moment I should get back on track.

“This, however, does not mean that the hand will be perfect, because the rehabilitation will take some time yet. I think it could take until after the season. The most important thing, however, is that the wounds heal as they should.

“I'll do my best to get back on track as soon as possible. But I do not give a specific date so as not to put myself under any undue pressure to necessarily go back on that date.

“The chance to return against Rzeszow is always there, but first I have to get on a bike and see how the hand performs during normal riding. I’ll do anything to succeed, but more will be said next week.”

However, the 2013 Torun Grand Prix winner admits it could be a little longer before he is back in the Robins kevlars.

“I’m focused on returning to the Polish league because it is most important to me, I will return to Britain slowly. The priority will be riding for Torun, because I would not just like to go and ride. I also want to perform as expected.”
