I HAVE just been relaxing ahead of the World Cup as it is the first time I’ve had some time off since the start of the season.

It is a big meeting, everyone comes together and it is not like an individual meeting, it’s a big team event and lots of fans come out.

The meeting should be good. It would have been nice to get into the first four and race, but to get into the World Cup squad – not just because I’m in Rosco’s team at Swindon – because I’ve been having a good season.

It is a big achievement to be a part of the GB side, but on the day it is a lot waiting around and travelling – like a lot of speedway.

I would like to get a ride, but it is not nice to think about one of your teammates getting an injury. Rosco made his decision on his four and those are the riders who he believes in. You never know, it is a few days yet until the meeting and there is a lot of speedway to go on before then.

Just to be in the five shows I have been putting in a lot of hard work and, although there is still a long season ahead, that hard work is starting to pay off.

It is nice to get my name out in the world and not just in England. All the countries watch the World Cup, it is televised, so it is good, especially if you do well.

Woffy (Tai Woffinden) did a few years ago when he had a good few races for GB and he put his name on the map. Obviously he was riding well to get into the team, but he put his name out there.

Tai is definitely someone us younger GB guys look up to, he is on top of the world. He is been a world champion, he is on form, winning GPs and it is nice to see him doing well – especially because he is British.

It will be nice to work with him for once rather than riding against him.
