SWINDON Robins team boss Alun Rossiter will be cautious of the Lions’ roar when they head to Leicester this evening.

The Abbey Stadium chief is expecting a much improved side to the one Swindon beat by 10 points last month, but will himself be buoyed by naming a full strength line-up for only the second time this season after the return of number one Adrian Miedzinski.

The Polish rider is back after missing 10 meetings following the hand injury he picked up during the opening fixture of the campaign.

“I’m a bit happier now I have got a full team - it makes a change,” said Rossiter ahead of today’s meeting, which is live on Sky Sports.

“I just rang Miedzinski up and said to him that we were struggling now that Peter (Kildemand) has ended his loan spell and that we needed him back.

“He has been riding in the Czech Republic and has been having meetings in Poland, so I think he has had enough meetings now since the injury.”

Despite the return of Swindon’s number one, his long term future is still up in the air, with Swindon having spoken to Aussie ace Darcy Ward last week.

Rossiter appears to be in the dark over whether the Pole’s appearance will be his last for Swindon, or if he is back for the season, but is unfazed by the possibility of being pipped in the race to sign by Poole asset Ward due to Miedzinski’s return.

“I’m hoping that he is back but you can never tell. He might change his mind,” he added.

“It depends what he wants to do. Whether he wants to carry on or whether he is under pressure from the Polish club - I don’t know.

“In fairness to him, it was a hard accident. You have got to give him some respect because it was a real bad injury.

“Adrian is in there because he is in our team. Unless he changes his mind and doesn’t want to ride in Britain, which I can’t do anything about; we’ll have to evaluate it all then.

“He has agreed to come back and that is the only thing I can go on at the moment.”

Tonight’s opponents Leicester may prop up the Elite League table but Rossiter is preaching caution.

He said: “They might be down the bottom but they have strengthened up there. We have got to make sure we have got our trapping shoes on Monday night because it is very difficult to pass there.”
