DANISH rider Hans Andersen is stepping into the void again for the Swindon Robins as he is set to guest in place of the injured Nick Morris tomorrow night.

Morris was making his first return last night at Wolverhampton since sustaining a deep cut to his elbow, as well as slight concussion, when he tangled with Ryan Fisher going over the line guesting for Premier League side Somerset Rebels two weeks ago.

However, his return at Monmore Green was scuppered as he came off his bike spectacularly on the first bend in heat seven, ruling him out for four weeks.

The fall led to the cut on his elbow re-opening and he returned to Great Western Hospital last night, where he received stitches, before being released in the early hours.

Swindon Advertiser:

Andersen will now guest for Swindon for the fourth time this season against reigning Elite League champions Poole Pirates.

“Nick didn’t get in until about 3am this morning and I think they have stitched him back up,” said Robins team boss Alun Rossiter.

Meanwhile Darryl Ritchings is set to return for the Robins for the first time since returning to the bike to guest in place of injured reserve Lewis Rose for tomorrow’s meeting at Wimborne Road.
