LEWIS Rose will return from injury as Swindon Robins aim to cement their Elite League play-off place at Coventry on Wednesday.

The 25 year old suffered a broken scaphoid and shoulder damage in a crash against Poole at the Abbey Stadium in July but returns to the side to replace Robert Branford, who the Robins signed as a short-term replacement.

Rose returns with Swindon on the verge of confirming their play-off place, which will be rubber-stamped with either a win at Coventry or at home to the Bees on Thursday.

Branford turned in some decent performances during his stint with the side and team boss Alun Rossiter admitted the decision to bring Rose back into the fold was a difficult one.

Rossiter said: "It was quite a tough decision because Robert didn't do much wrong, he gave it his all and I'd like to thank him for his efforts.

"I just felt Lewis might make us a bit stronger. It was always the plan for him to come back when he was fit again, and he's been patient with his injury and allowed it to fully heal.

"Hopefully he will come back stronger and hit the ground running to play a big part for us over the rest of the season."

Swindon fans heading to Brandon on Wednesday can take advantage of a special admission price of £10 if they present a re-admission ticket from last week's clash with Leicester at the Abbey.
