SWINDON Robins have suffered a blow ahead of tonight's Elite League trip to Belle Vue Aces with skipper Jason Doyle ruled out of the meeting.
Australian ace Doyle suffered bruising after crashes in successive meetings in Sweden and Poland at the weekend and will sit out the trip to Manchester.
Robins team boss Alun Rossiter has called on the services of Coventry ace Chris Harris to step in this evening after co-operation with the Bees management.
Rossiter said: "I know Chris is reliable and he'll give 110 per cent for us tonight.
"Bomber said yes immediately, we never even got down to talking money."
He added: "Doylie is gutted, he so wanted to ride in the new stadium at Belle Vue but this morning he is struggling to move properly because of the bruising.
"My thanks go to Coventry Speedway for allowing us to ask Chris and with 'Bomber' we know what we're going to get - 100 per cent effort.
"It's harder and harder finding guests in the Elite League because riders aren't in the country.''
Doyle has been in majestic form for Swindon this season, recording a maximum in the 50-40 win over Lakeside at Blunsdon last Thursday.
