WE HAVE our second home meeting of the week this evening when Wolverhampton come down to the Abbey Stadium and the feeling within the team is that we need to win all of our home matches between now and the end of the season.

Every team wants to make the play-offs at the end of the year so this is the challenge that we have set ourselves to try to do that.

Of course you always want to win every meeting you race but doing so in your home matches is extra important.

It’s one of those things that you just need to do if you are going to be in the mix for honours at the end of the season – win all your home matches and get a couple of points here and there away from home, and hopefully a few wins on the road too.

But we don’t just need to win when we are at home, we need to win well so it sets down a bit of a marker for people coming here to the Abbey.

We were able to do that against Coventry on Monday night and now we have to look to do the same against Wolverhampton this evening.

We had a bit of a bad spell at home a few weeks back and I honestly still don’t know what happened there but we looked like we were right back to form on Monday.

Everyone was absolutely flying around the Abbey track against Coventry and it was a really good team performance.

Now we are up against a Wolves team that are at the top of the table so I think this meeting is going to be a huge test for us as they managed to get one over on us last time they came down here.

Right now we are just behind them in second place in so we can’t afford to lose ground on them as when there are only four play-off spots to aim for, you don’t want to be playing catch-up with anyone.

I think Wolves are our next away meeting too on Monday week, so if we can win at home and then push them close in the away fixture and pick up a point or two there, then that would be a pretty good effort from the boys.

Leicester went there earlier in the week and did pretty well, so we shouldn’t be daunted by them.

We feel like to owe them one from earlier in the season too so it should be a good couple of meetings between us.
