SWINDON Robins heat leader Josh Grajczonek thinks a break could do the team the world of good as they get set to tame the wolf pack this evening.

The Robins have been out of action for 11 days after securing their fourth victory on the bounce against Wolverhampton at the Abbey.

Now Alun Rossiter’s side head to Monmore Green looking to close the gap on the league leaders, who have picked up just one win in their last four outings, but Grajczonek is all too aware that they need to be at their best to come away from the den with anything to their name.

“We just go into the meeting on Monday the same as we have for the last few meetings,” said Grajczonek, who was back in action with Somerset Rebels on Friday night.

“Wolves is always a tough track so it is not going to be easy for us but if we can get something out of it then we will be happy.

“Wolves have been killing it at home at the moment as well as away, I think they have 14 points on the road, and they are not top of the league for no reason.

“I have had a week off which has been good and I have chilled out and I am ready to go racing again.

“I had a hectic two weeks before this break so it has been good for me to have a week where I don’t have to think about speedway and can get things sorted.

“You can get rusty sometimes but I don’t think a week is too bad to have off at this time in the season.

“If we get off to a good start on Monday, that will put us in a good mood for what is going to be a busy week.”

The Aussie will be full of confidence heading to the Black Country having picked up his first bit of silverware of the season when he claimed the Premier League Pairs title with Swindon and Somerset teammate Rohan Tungate.

“The pairs is always a tough meeting and there are no easy teams in there so to come away from that with a win is great for the confidence,” he added.

“We sort of went into that tournament with the same approach as we do with any other meeting and tried to get no last places.

“I don’t really race with Rohan at Swindon but I do at Somerset and we don’t get in each other’s road and we both know where we want to be and look out for each other.

“Rohan is a good gater and once he gets going he is as quick as hell, which is good for me because he can slow things up and make a slot for me to pass.”
