THIS weekend marked a big weekend for Alun Rossiter and Great Britain as, coming second in the World Cup is a great achievement given the negative press that surrounded the team.

To see Britain do as well as they did was pretty good, eventual winners Poland would have taken a lot to beat so second is great for them. There was a lot of negative press, Tai Woffinden pretty much did it himself, the other guys are there to help out, but I think it would have been a very different story if he wasn’t there.

Regarding how they are going to make the most of their result it is a funny one because I don’t think they have the talent.

You can send them to Poland as many times as you like but I don’t think the riders who are riding in the team are that good.

I like the format of the World Cup, the way of doing it now is good, they have a good system and the final is always exciting with the joker.

I don’t think they need to change anything, but I do agree with what Jason Doyle said about home nations being seeded, but they are the rules at play.

Looking ahead to our meeting against King’s Lynn tonight, it is a big one but they are no different to anyone else, we desperately need to get a good result to keep our hope for reaching the play-offs alive.

Personally I had a little bit of an issue before with my engine, but in speedway a little issue can soon be a big one.

I think I have sorted it now, so I am hoping to put it all behind me as for the doom and gloom we just had a couple of bad meetings, everybody has them.

Some riders let engine problems affect them and their confidence, but it doesn’t affect my confidence at all.

I’m the other way around, I know what I am capable of. At the end of the day there was a problem, I knew what it was and now I have fixed that problem.
