SWINDON Robins skipper Jason Doyle will resume his Speedway Grand Prix campaign this evening when he goes for glory at the Swedish GP.

The Australian is currently third in the standings after collecting 54 points from the opening five events, with the 30-year-old having also claimed his maiden GP victory in the Czech Republic this year at the end of June.

The world championship battle resumes in Malilla this evening after more than a month’s break for World Cup action.

Veteran American rider Greg Hancock leads the way at the top on 66 points, three clear of Britain’s reigning world champion Tai Woffinden.

Doyle heads to Sweden on the back of a good performance for the Robins earlier this week, collecting 12+1 points as they went down 56-34 at Coventry Bees in the Elite League on Monday.
