IT was a bit of a pain that our meeting with the Somerset Rebels was called off because everybody had just turned up to the track, got set up and then we got a pretty big downpour.

The track was sodden and there was nothing they could have done with it - it was one of those days.

It would have been good to get a first league win at home on Monday, it’s a shame, but you can’t really help it.

We have been pretty inconsistent so far this season and I know myself I can step it up, I’ve just bought another new engine from Poland so I’m hoping that will give me a little bit more power.

Obviously we would all like to be a little bit more consistent. There are a couple of us who are riding for a team place at the moment - you know who it is they’re looking at.

I have to go and do my job. It’s not easy being at number two, I don’t know what is going to happen but I am just going to keep on keeping on and do my best.

The last meeting at home to King’s Lynn was frustrating for me on a personal level because I bought another engine for that one, which didn’t work out very well and I injured myself on my first ride.

I felt terrible on the bike, so I have a bit of a point to prove when we go to King’s Lynn tonight. I needed a little bit more and if I have to spend money to get it, so be it.

King’s Lynn were a solid side when they came to the Abbey Stadium earlier this month but there is no reason why we can’t go there and do well.

I’m sure Nick Morris and Jason Doyle will put up some good scores again, I don’t know if David Bellego has been there before.

I know that Adam Ellis goes around there well, so does Zach Wajtknecht and Dany Gappmaier is good on the bigger tracks.

Hopefully we can come away with a win, that would be ideal, but at least a point would be good too.

Our away record has been pretty good so far as we have got good results at Poole, Wolverhampton and Rye House.

If everyone is able to click all on the same night then we should be able to win but I’m sure Rosco will be happy enough with a point.
