SWINDON Robins have lost the services of new signing Dany Gappmaier for tonight's SGB Premiership trip to King's Lynn.

Austrian reserve Gappmaier has stood down from duty at the Adrian Flux Arena after suffering a back injury riding for Championship side Berwick Bandits, with Workington Comets' James Sarjeant stepping in as a guest.

Swindon, who lost to the Stars at home earlier this month, are otherwise at full strength for the trip to Norfolk.

Simon Lambert comes into the King’s Lynn side after replacing youngster Josh Bailey.

Meanwhile, the Robins' Bank Holiday meeting day in late August will now be a double-header.

Alun Rossiter's side will now take on Leicester Lions at 4pm, followed by Somerset Rebels. Monday's Bank Holiday clash against the Rebels was postponed due to heavy rain.

It all adds to a hectic August for the Robins, who will now ride no fewer than nine fixtures.

They open away at King's Lynn - whom they also travel to this evening - on Wednesday, August 2, with a home appointment with Leicester a date later at the Abbey Stadium.

Rossiter's men go to Rye House on Saturday, August 5, then host Somerset on Thursday, August 17 and go to the Rebels' Oak Tree Arena base a day later.

King's Lynn arrive at the Abbey on Monday, August 21, followed by the August 28 double-header and a home match against reigning champions Wolverhampton on Thursday, August 31.
