SWINDON Robins team manager Alun Rossiter will resist making any further changes to his side until the averages come out in two weeks' time.

The Robins fell to their fourth defeat on the spin last night as they were heavily beaten 52-41 by King’s Lynn Stars at the Adrian Flux Arena.

Despite skipper Jason Doyle, who ended the night walking away from a fall in heat 13, picking up 12 points and Nick Morris scoring 14 there was little back-up further down the order.

James Sarjeant, standing in for the injured Dany Gappmaier, failed to pick up a single point as he looked off the pace without much track time under his belt of late, while Bradley Wilson-Dean scored just two points and David Bellego and Zach Watjknecht fared little better with three points each to their name.

However, Rossiter has said that he will give the team until Thursday, June 15, when the new set of averages come out, before he makes any further alterations to his side, having already dropped Emil Grondal from reserve this campaign.

“We just can’t make those changes at the moment,” Rossiter said. “There is not a lot around and we have to go with what it is at the moment.

“We’ll have to look at the situation but we won’t be able to do anything until after the 15th.

“I am not making any guarantees, because we don’t know what the averages are.

“We’ll have a look at things and make a decision in the next couple of weeks.”

Meanwhile, Rossiter was relieved to see skipper Doyle return to his feet quickly after his fall, with the Aussie losing his foot on the peg going into the corner and the bike rising twice on him.

“He took a bang to the head,” said Rossiter. “He wasn’t concussed but took a bit of a bonk to the head and it was a bit unfortunate and that is the way it goes sometimes.”
