JASON Doyle has been forced to withdraw from Swindon Robins’ SGB Premiership meeting with Belle Vue Aces tonight after he was back in a Polish hospital last night.

The Aussie ace scored 12+1 racing for Zielona Góra last night, including three heat wins, however, following the meeting, Doyle was back in hospital having an X-ray on his right foot.

The 31-year-old has been recovering from three broken bones in his foot, sustained in a crash in league action in Poland last month.

The current World Speedway Grand Prix leader tweeted, along with a picture of the X-ray, this morning: “Sorry to the @SwindonSpeedway fans and team! Ended up back in my least favourite place last night! No extra damage just banged up again!”

Robins team manager Alun Rossiter has left been frustrated in his attempts to find a guest for his Aussie and will now operate a rider-replacement facilty instead.

"We’re going into a home meeting with one of the strongest teams in the league without the joint best rider in the world right now,” said Rossiter.

“We’re up against it and we need our fans more than ever before.

“I’ve spoken to six different riders this morning and every rider had a reason why they couldn’t do the meeting. When you have a league of eight clubs and four are racing, the options for guests are limited to say the least.

“I’ve tried everything – but now we need to focus on the meeting and our fans need to play their part with plenty of noise to support the team.”
