SWINDON Robins have received a significant injury boost ahead on Monday's first leg of the SGB Premiership Grand Final after Adam Ellis declared himself ready to ride against Wolverhampton Wolves.
British ace Ellis suffered a wrist injury in the second leg of the semi final against Poole Pirates last Monday and appeared to be a serious doubt to participate in the two-legged final this coming week.
However, the rider has declared himself fine to take part in at the Abbey Stadium on Monday (7.30pm), with reigning champions Wolverhampton suffering significant injury problems themselves as number one Freddie Lindgren is a major doubt.
Robins team boss Alun Rossiter said: “Adam says he’s okay to ride, so it’s a boost and we’re pleased to have him in the team.
“He’s an important rider for us, and although he might not be at 100 per cent it shouldn’t be something that affects him too much.
“Hopefully it doesn’t cause him any problems and he can have a good night in what is obviously a massive meeting for the club.”
