SWINDON Robins will open their 2018 season with a two-legged Charity Shield encounter against the Belle Vue Aces on March 19 and 22.

The Robins, who memorably lifted the SGB Premiership title in 2018, will travel to Manchester's National Stadium on Monday, March 19 before the Aces come to the Abbey Stadium on Thursday, March 22.

Alun Rossiter's men begin the defence of their league title on Thursday, March 29, with Leicester Lions visiting Blunsdon, with the Robins then facing back-to-back legs of their Knockout Cup quarter final against Rye House Rockets on Sunday, April 1 (home) and Monday, April 2 (away) respectively.

A busy May sees eight Premiership fixtures booked in for the champions, while the regular season is set to end on August 27 with a home clash against Poole Porates
