ALUN Rossiter has urged Swindon Robins reserve Cory Gathercole to relax as he faces the tough task of filling in for the absent Ryan Fisher against Belle Vue Aces tonight (7.30pm).
The Australian youngster steps in with Fisher away on Premier Trophy duty with Edinburgh Monarchs at Redcar, as Swindon target the win that would take them top of the Elite League standings.
Californian Fisher has been arguably Robins’ star man so far this season, recording a series of superb performances from the number seven slot.
Meanwhile Gathercole failed to register on his only Abbey Stadium appearance to date this season - the 49-41 triumph over Eastbourne Eagles earlier this month But Rossiter said: “I just think Cory has been trying a bit too hard really.
“Hopefully he can settle down a bit and put in some of the rides which we know he is capable of."
