STYLISH Slovenian Matej Zagar will make a welcome return to Swindon for the Bob Kilby Memorial Trophy in March.
Zagar, who rode for the Abbey Stadium side in 2009, joins the likes of three time world champion Nicki Pedersen, Lee Richardson, Sebastian Ulamek and NIcolai Klindt for the event on Sunday, March 18.
Robins co-promoter Gary Patchett is pleased to be able to welcome Zagar back to Swindon for the one off meeting, and did not rule out a permanent return.
He said: “For a rider who was with the club for such a short amount of time Matej’s popularity is amazing.
“He did a fine job for us and it was just a shame his time with the club was so short, but it’s not for the want of trying on our part.
“We have been in talks with him about coming back here for the last couple of seasons but for one reason or another Matej decided British racing wasn’t for him.
“But that doesn’t mean we rule out a potential return to the team in the future, meanwhile our fans should enjoy seeing him back here in March.”
