SWINDON Robins won their first piece of top-flight team silverware since 1967 tonight as they lifted the Elite Shield, despite defeat at Coventry.
The Blunsdon outfit went down 52-41 at Brandon Stadium, but yesterday's first leg triumph - they thrashed their opponents 57-35 - ensured they picked up the trophy on aggregate.
Skipper Leigh Adams led the way with 14 points, reserve Seb Alden being next best with eight.
