All week I've been looking forward to saying it "We are top of the Elite League", it doesn't matter if in a few hours, days or weeks that changes.
After the pre season critics both from industry insiders and a small minority of our own faithful had written us off it is lovely to sit back with a wry smile on my face.
Now I'm not silly enough to think that early season form is anything to go by when it comes to the all-important play offs come September, but what is emerging from the Robins camp is an ever-building optimism, a belief, something more than just hope now.

It has been a strange week of emotions as a Robins fan, the elation of our away win at Ipswich on Monday and then the disappointment of the draw on Thursday.
Yes, I was delighted when our simply awe-inspiring captain Leigh Adams followed young Aussie starlet Troy Batchelor round in heat 15 to capture the draw from what seemed like definite defeat but I just can't shake off the fact that it was a meeting we should have won.
The absence of Mads Korneliussen cost us dearly but looking through the score chart there were some fine performances, in particular I was impressed with the battling display and some very important points from James Wright.
Troy Batchelor also seems to be getting better week on week. So we are left with the feeling of "If only" and rue the last places that should have been thirds.
Two away Elite League meetings have brought one five-point defeat and a win. If we can keep that form going on the road at Belle Vue on Monday and over the following weeks we will be in with more than a shout come the end of the season.
If any supporters out there would like to come and experience an away performance why not join the Robins Pit Crew on their Day Trip to Brighton on May Bank Holiday Saturday, May 3.
The coach will leave the New Inn at Stratton at 10am before stopping for the afternoon at leisure in Brighton and going on to Arlington, home of the Eastbourne Eagles for the evening Elite League A fixture.
This is the current haunt of our on loan Lee Richardson who captains the side and it should be an exciting encounter.
