WELL, a fortnight has gone by since my last article and we have now extended our lead at the top of the table, but surely this Bank Holiday weekend we face our toughest challenge yet.
The Eagles have been the early season pacesetters alongside ourselves - their away win at Coventry on the opening week of the league propelling them to the dizzy heights and a succession of impressive home wins has kept them there.
Fortress Arlington will be a test in the extreme and despite the loss of both of their regular reserves they are solid throughout their 1-5 and will be difficult to break down, with the pairing of Lee Richardson and Cameron Woodward being most productive and the ones to look out for.
Follow that by another trip down the south coast to Poole on Monday and we have to hope that the Robins will have their gating boots on.
The Pirates have dominated in all of their home meetings with many 5-1 heat advantages won from the gate. They average a home win by 16 points over their last four meetings and our own Robins endured a 15-point defeat back in the early rounds of the Craven Shield competition.
The free-scoring Adam Skornicki has made a big impression since dropping to reserve and anything but a home win by a similar scoreline will be a surprise, but with the Robins riding high it almost feels like anything is possible.

Our Swindon young guns don't seem to know when they are beaten, taking every outing as an opportunity to learn from and improve upon.
Defeat at these two tracks will not be unexpected and should not dent our aspirations for the season ahead as there will be few that will tarnish the colours of either the Eagles or the Pirates on their home shale.
But to put in a performance to be proud of, to keep the scoreline close and keep the home supporters sweating is what I would hope for.
I will be wearing my Robins colours with pride this evening and hoping that a seemingly impossible task may, just may, be possible.
