FORMER Swindon Tigershark Jazz Carlin has been selected for the European Allstars team that will take on the United States in December’s Duel in the Pool competition in Scotland.

Triple British champion Carlin and Swindon-born Hannah Miley will be part of a team featuring 12 British stars including Michael Jamieson and Fran Halsall.

Europe will attempt to take the title that the US won comprehensively in Atlanta two years ago.

Olympic champions Ryan Lochte, Conor Dwyer, Katie Ledecky and Shannon Vreeland are to spearhead the visitors’ challenge in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

The competition will take place at Tollcross International Swimming Centre in Glasgow from December 20-21, where the Commonwealth Games will be held.
