SWINDON Dolphin ended their championship winning season unbeaten after seeing off Bath University, ensuring the opposition’s relegation.
Dolphin were made to work for their 13-9 victory.
Early goals from Chris Selby and Ian Brewer got Dolphin underway but the students levelled before Andy Hicks and a strike from Michal Trzeciak restored the two goal advantage, though that was cut to one before the break.
In the second period saw the students fight back to reach 7-7. Then Selby’s second goal and Trzeciak completing his hat-trick stretched the lead again.
Goals from Andy Hicks and a double from Andy Strong opened a useful lead. In the final period saw Dolphin were dominant and, goals by David Quinlivan and Strong saw the champions ease to a 13-9 victory.
