SWINDON Tigershark Rebecca Cook dominated the 800m in the second tranche of the Wiltshire County Championships, taking the under 16s age group by over a minute and her first senior county title in a South West Regional qualifying time.

Jasmin Poole had a very hard fought battle, winning the junior title on the touch at the finish and earning herself second in the overall championships, as well as the 14 years age group title.

In the girls 12 year old age group Tigersharks took four out of the top five places. Dina Nejkic took the gold medal with Gabriella Doughty taking silver. Sophie Walker and Matilda Hart helped to complete Tigersharks domination in fourth and fifth with both achieving regional qualifying times.

Andrew Smith has been in great form so far this year and he swept all aside as he won the 12 year old boys age group by over 50 seconds. Smith’s performance saw him finish 4th in the Junior championships and sixth overall. Luke Morgan (14), Marshall Fitchett (13) and Nathan Kennet (15) all took silver medals with Luke and Marshall both qualifying for the Regional Championships.

Tigersharks recently entered the Wiltshire sprints to great success. Harriet Hillman (9), Lavinia Morsani-Jones (10), James Andrew (11), Amelia Skitrall (11), Gabriella Doughty (12) Dina Nejkic (12), Andrew Smith (12) and Lisa Cowley (16) shared 14 county titles amongst themselves.
