SWINDON swimmer Jazz Carlin secured her second silver medal of the FINA Swimming World Cup Series this afternoon.
For a second day running she had to settle for second spot behind New Zealand’s Lauren Boyle, this time in the 400m freestyle, as the Kiwi clocked a time of 4.06.58.
Boyle led from the start, but Carlin had to fight her way back from fourth after the first turn.
The 25-year-old Tigersharks swimmer hauled herself back in front of Coralie Balmy by the halfway stage, but was still 1.79 seconds off Boyle.
Carlin was able to reduce the gap to the leader further but ended up 0.84 seconds behind Boyle with a time of 4.07.42.
