No problem but you have to give srikers time the same as Martin. All good news though. I wish I was more confident in saying we will win the league. Top 6 and in the mix. Sure we have a chance but lots can happen good and bad before May. For now though great entertainment at the CG. Next Saturday will be the test and we still have to play all the top sides away from home. None of our players are shiit to me as long as they are playing for the red shirt and giving it their best. If they are not up to it PDC will move them on. COYR'ds.

Outside of the two to be re-arranged we have only 2 Tuesday night matches - last season we were playing 2 games a week almost all Feb, March and April - time to fully prepare, repair the knocks and recover the energy levels....if we can't finish top 2 now it will be pretty darn close!!

The only other manager that readily springs to mind prepared to put his money and belief into his club, Barry Fry at Peterborough, and he bought the club. Absolute nutter, but lovely man, ring any bells ?

The only problem as I see it is how the money goes in, so we don't break the rules especially around the embargo nonsense, but I dare say somebody will have a solution to get around it. Hopefully. Shame our manager didn't say all this before and we could have had a collection yesterday with that decent crowd and the money would have been there for Monday.

Haha! You know as well as I do mate that all good strikers miss sitters. Chalky White is a Town legend but he missed shedloads of chances and so did his partner Big Dunc. There are only 2 players in Town history that I can remember having the utmost faith in to put chances away - one is Don Rogers and the other is Charlie Austin and even they missed a few. The teamwork and service to our front two have improved immeasurably in recent weeks. I have no idea of the stats but I reckon our strikers' goals to chances ratio would compare pretty well with all our forwards down the years.

You can never resist the opportunity to have a go at Pdc eh? It doesn't matter if there is no validity to do so you'll still have a pop! Disappointing but also rather predictable the guy offers to lump in £30k of his own dosh and you've still got to knock him. So if he had have mentioned it before then you'd have co-ordinated the collection organised a bank account etc and got the whole ball rolling- yeah right! Please don't be expected tj be taken seriously with making a cheap shop comment like that.

Have to say Malkym - I think you read that one totally wrong...it was a pure timing comment given the big crowd as opposed to having a pop, especially as it is 2 weeks until the next home game.

They may have missed sitters, but it's a confidence game and they will be burying more and more as they settle. Williams for me is the next big thing at our club. Give the guy a 'real' chance to bed in and he will begin to destroy defences.

You will never be as well supported a club as Pompey, fallen from grace in a big way but still bring in the crowds. Proper football club - wouldn't put their Dorset neighbours in anywhere near the same class.

Instead of stirring a week before the game, how about looking forward to what should be a well contested game between two teams in good form, and the pleasure of a capacity away support from some of the best travelling fans you'll ever see. Enjoy.

Yes you are quite right, we do indeed only have 3 stands (at the moment).So tell me, how often do you use that 4th stand or yours.???. Sap not saying Wiz isn't behind it or backing the idea but IMO he's had a bit of a downer on Pdc for awhile now. My main point was that even if Pdc had mentioned it earlier there probably still wouldn't have been time to set up all the things you and others have suggested - can it be done without endangering the wage cap etc How do you collect the money and can those donating be sure their money ends up where it should.

BTW good luck with your plan to get the deaf mutes in the Arkells singing from the same hymn sheet as the Town end. I reckon you have to put on a bandsman uniform, stand up and wave a baton at them before the majority of them start warbling :)

*the club get the extra money!

*The ground will have a larger crowd that day

*those 'visitors' may get a taste and come back

*the 'visitors' will spend extra money on refreshments and programmes.

*Would be a great press release.... 'Supporters pay for free tickets for local community' or suchlike

*PDC gets his money, gets the players he wants, gets us promoted, follows that with taking us into the premier league.

And when that final point happens I would like credit for the idea that masterminded it!! I can see it now, telling my grand kids how I personally got Swindon into the premier league :-p

That is a real pain, but at least if the worst comes to the worst you could sit with Bournemouth and try and keep quiet, as others have said they may do. Wonder if tickets will be sold on the day though? You'd imagine so but it's not a guarantee. Other than that you'll just have to try and sample the delights Bournemouth has to offer, which to be honest isn't a lot in this weather. Seaside towns have a particular bleakness in winter that's quite off putting.

Politely, i would say dont bother trying to get into home areas. It will definately be sold out so wont be pay on the day. Bournemouth operate a data-base system whereby you MUST have a purchase history with the club. Why would anyone want to go in the home section and sit quietly ???, it just aint football without cheering on your team. But good luck anyway. May the BEST team win.!!!!!!!!!
