Four men appeared in Hendon Magistrates Court this morning in connection with a series of armed robberies across north London and Borehamwood.
Three 22-year-olds from Hendon, Adrian Virasami, 22, of Woodburn Close, Bilah Shafqat, of Whitefield Avenue and Theo Williams, of Topaz Walk, and Dave Griffiths, 26, of Croxley Road in Maida Vale, were charged with conspiracy to rob and possession of a firearm.
The four men were arrested on Tuesday following a two-week surveillance operation by the Metropolitan Police’s Flying Squad.
The charges relate to 11 armed robberies involving bookmakers and commercial premises in an area stretching from Borehamwood and Watford to Ilford and Harrow.
