PETER Kildemand missed out on a place in the 2015 Grand Prix series after failing to earn one of the qualifying spots from tonight's GP Challenge event in Italy.

The Swindon Robins ace, who finished second in European Championship in Poland last night, suffered two exclusions in his final two rides in Lonigo to end his hopes of reaching the big stage next year.

Danish ace Kildemand, who finished second as a wildcard rider in the recent Nordic Grand Prix in his homeland last week, had two wins and a second place in his first three rides but falls in heats 13 and 19 proved costly.

Great Britain's Chris Harris, Slovenian Matej Zagar, who won the meeting, and Australia's Jason Doyle - a Swindon asset - claimed the prized 2015 places after finishing top of the standings.

Robins reserve Steve Worrall competes in the Premier League Riders Championship in Sheffield tomorrow.
