Swindon Town v Rochdale

After what seems like eternity, Swindon Town finally play a game at the County Ground.

The run of five consecutive away games has come to an end. In that time, Swindon negotiated their way through the first round of the JPT only to fall to Plymouth in the second round. The three league games saw Town pick up seven points from two wins and one draw.

This season Swindon have already won three league matches on the road, whereas in the 2013/14 campaign they only managed five away wins all season.

Tuesday night’s opponents are Rochdale, a club we do not have much history with. The 14 league matches we have played against them, Town have won eight and drawn six. We have yet to be beaten by them in cup or league.

I resent times; it has been a case of ships passing in the night. When Swindon were relegated to League Two in 2010/11, Rochdale gained promotion. When we won the League Two title in 2011/12, Rochdale were relegated from League One.

Hopefully Swindon are going to be back at their best from the slightly jaded performance of the weekend and we will see a return to winning ways. Three points Please.
