IT WAS a five-star game in Division One as Redhouse and Bassett Bulldogs could not be separated.

The lead changed hands a total of five times in an end-to-end game as the sides, who sit third and second from bottom in the league, played out an entertaining 5-5 draw.

Despite the home side being reduced to ten men early on, Bassett Bulldogs could not make the most of the man advantage.

A brace for Redhouse manager Chris Ullah added to goals from Steve Nicholls, Adam Law and Bruce Toombs.

But it was not enough to clinch the win and give them some breathing space from the bottom as an own goal secured the draw, after a double from Jason Hudson along with goals from Andy Adams and Colin Cochrane for the visitors.

“I was disappointed to be honest,” said Bulldogs manager Wayne Matthews.

“After they went down to ten men in the first half you would hope that you would go on and win the game.

“We do lack a bit of organisation and maybe when they went down to ten men we put a bit too much pressure on ourselves.”

In the division’s only other game The Clifton were able to pull level with league leaders KS Miltax, who weren’t in action, after a 4-3 win away to North Swindon WMC.

Jake Kitchin and Brendan Shaw gave the visitors a two-goal lead before Jason Hodson pulled the game back level with a brace.

North Swindon took the lead in the second half through Kray Drum but goals from Joe Gentleman and Carl Read gave Clifton the win.

It was business as usual for Avtar in the Premier Division as hat-tricks from Aaron Welland and Shane Hibbert helped them to a 9-0 win over Swiss Chalet.

Four goals from Craig Alexander gave Village Inn a convincing 5-0 win over Shield & Dagger to remain second, while braces from Carl Regan and Eddie Allsopp gave Spectrum a 7-3 win over DJC Marlborough.
