HIGHWORTH Town's dreams of an appearance at Wembley remain intact after their FA Vase quarter-final against Tadcaster Albion ended in a 1-1 draw this afternoon.

The sides will meet again in Yorkshire next weekend after honours were shared in front of a packed house of 771 at The Elms today.

In a tense struggle, first-half chances were limited although Highworth had the ball in the net when Ryan King followed up TJ Bohane's initial shot, but the strike was ruled out for offside.

However, Town grabbed the lead as Callum Parsons was bundled over after the break and Bohane found the net with the resulting penalty.

Parity was restored as Tadcaster won their own spot kick for an apparent handball and Callum Ward stepped up to find the net.

Dan Drewett smashed a shot just wide for the home side in normal time and Ward fired just wide for the visitors early in extra-time.

In an exciting finale, Nathan Blackford curled just wide for Town before they had a huge escape in the dying seconds as Liam Ormsby headed against the bar.
