AMATEUR golfer Charlie Grabe from Chiseldon has won the Inchcape South West Audi Invitational staged at the Bowood GC in Derry Hill.

Grabe carded a score of 34-points in the Stableford rules matches over 18 holes.

The top qualifiers from this event will now pair up in a regional final at The Celtic Manor in Wales on July 28.

The one-day qualifying competition supported by Audi Centres in Swindon and Tetbury, was one of almost 50 Audi Quattro Cup Invitational events being staged throughout the UK.

Seven regional finals are held in July and August with the top 18 pairs going forward in to the UK Final at Bowood,near Calne, Wiltshire on September 3.

Ultimately two pairs represent Great Britain compete in the Audi quattro Cup World Final staged at The Ocean Course at Cabo del Sol Golf Club, Los Cabos, Mexico (Nov 29 - Dec 3).

The Audi Quattro Cup, being run for the 25th year, is the world’s largest amateur golf competition with almost 100,000 players from over 50 countries competing.
